Shenandoah National Park, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, contains exceptional natural features and awe-inspiring views from Skyline Drive and the Appalachian Trail.
E&S Environmental Chemistry wrote and designed this pamphlet for the National Park Service to help interested stakeholders understand the effects of air pollution on the natural and scenic resources of Shenandoah National Park.
This project synthesizes available inventories and published findings regarding air quality related values (AQRVs) sensitive to effects caused by atmospheric deposition of nitrogen, sulfur, and toxic compounds; formation of ground-level ozone; and impacts of air pollution on in-park visibility.
